Simulation of crack spacing using a reinforced concrete model with an internal length parameter 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Summary A gradient-enhanced smeared crack model and bond-slip interface elements are utilized in finite element simulations of reinforced
concrete. The crack model is rooted in an enhanced plasticity theory. It uses the Rankine failure surface dependent on an
equivalent inelastic strain measure as well as on its Laplacian. As a result, finitely sized fracture process zones and realistic
crack spacings are obtained. A reinforced concrete bar in uniaxial tension is analyzed to demonstrate the regularizing influence
of the internal length parameter in the model and to evaluate the influence of the model parameters on the energy dissipation
in multiple cracks. A comparison of numerical simulations with experimental results for a beam without shear reinforcement
in four-point bending concludes the analysis.

By means of an asymptotic expansion method of a regular series, an exact higher-order analysis has been carried out for the
near-tip fields of an interfacial crack between two different elastic-plastic materials. The condition of plane strain is
invoked. Two group of solutions have been obtained for the crack surface conditions: (1) traction free and (2) frictionless
contact, respectively. It is found that along the interface ahead of crack tip the stress fields are co-order continuous while
the displacement fields are cross-order continuous. The zone of dominance of the asymptotic solutions has been estimated.

In the present study, the large-amplitude vibrations and stability of a perfect circular cylindrical shell subjected to axial
harmonic excitation in the neighborhood of the lowest natural frequencies are investigated. Donnell's shallow shell theory
is used and the shell spatial discretization is obtained by the Ritz method. An efficient low-dimensional model presented
in previous publications is used to discretize the continuous system. The main purpose of this work is to discuss the use
of basins of attraction as a measure of the reliability and safety of the structure. First, the nonlinear behavior of the
conservative system is discussed and the basin structure and volume is understood from the topologic structure of the total
energy and its evolution as a function of the system parameters. Then, the behavior of the forced oscillations of the harmonically
excited shell is analyzed. First the stability boundaries in force control space are obtained and the bifurcation events connected
with these boundaries are identified. Based on the bifurcation diagrams, the probability of parametric instability and escape
are analyzed through the evolution and erosion of basin boundaries within a prescribed control volume defined by the manifolds.
Usually, basin boundaries become fractal. This together with the presence of catastrophic subcritical bifurcations makes the
shell very sensitive to initial conditions, uncertainties in system parameters, and initial imperfections. Results show that
the analysis of the evolution of safe basins and the derivation of appropriate measures of their robustness is an essential
step in the derivation of safe design procedures for multiwell systems. 相似文献

通过将系统参数定义为参数变量, 构成参数空间,研究齿轮传动系统在参数空间和状态空间耦合下的非线性全局动力学特性,以及多参数、多初值和多稳态行为之间的关联特性.首先设计了一个两空间耦合下非线性系统多稳态行为的计算和辨识方法.其次,基于该方法并结合相图、Poincaré映射图、分岔图、最大Lyapunov指数、吸引域等,研究齿轮传动系统在不同参数平面上多稳态行为的存在区域和分布特性,以及多稳态行为在状态平面上的分布特性,揭示了参数平面和状态平面上系统可能隐藏的多稳态行为和分岔,并分析了多稳态行为的形成机理. 结果发现,两空间耦合下系统在参数平面上存在大量多稳态行为并呈"带状"分布, 状态平面上多稳态行为出现两种不同的侵蚀现象, 即内部侵蚀和边界侵蚀.分岔点或分岔曲线对初值的敏感性导致多稳态行为的出现.当齿侧间隙和误差波动在较小的范围内变化时,系统全局动力学特性受间隙和误差扰动的影响较小,受啮合频率的影响较大.两空间耦合下系统全局动力学特性变得丰富和复杂. 相似文献

Utilisation of Anagrus nilaparvatae is a promising and effective method for planthoppers manipulation. Twenty-seven components of remote lemongrass (Cymbopogon distans) oil were identified by GC/MS and nine volatiles were selected for behavioural experiments. In this study, we noted that the remote lemongrass oil was attractive to female A. nilaparvatae at concentrations of 0.1 and 1 mg/L. α-Pinene, β-pinene, eucalyptol, carveol and D-carvone attracted female wasps in the dose-dependent bioassays. Blend 1 (a mixture of eucalyptol, D-carvone, carveol, α-pinene, and β-pinene with ratios of remote lemongrass oil volatiles of 625:80:11:5:3) attracted female wasps at 10 mg/L, while blend 2 (a mixture of the same five volatiles at the same loading ratio) attracted them at 0.1 and 1 mg/L. These results suggested that plant essential oils could be attractants for natural enemies to control pests. The ratios of volatiles in the mixtures affect the attractiveness of the synthetic mixtures. 相似文献

Abstract This article discusses the like‐charge attraction of colloidal spheres close to a charged plate and compares results produced by an electrostatic and a hydrodynamic model with experimental data. Hydrodynamic coupling is shown to be the dominating effect, while the electrostatic influence may often be neglected. Some observations, however, can be explained only by means of a combined electrostatic–hydrodynamic model, which is derived in this work. The combined model is able to predict not only the attractive force between particles of similar charge close to a charged plate but also the change to a purely repulsive force once the sphere‐plate distance is further reduced. This prediction matches qualitatively results of experiments reported in the literature. 相似文献

The determination of the basin of attraction of a periodic orbit can be achieved using a Lyapunov function. A Lyapunov function can be constructed by approximation of a first-order linear PDE for the orbital derivative via meshless collocation. However, if the periodic orbit is only accessible numerically, a different method has to be used near the periodic orbit. Borg's criterion provides a method to obtain information about the basin of attraction by measuring whether adjacent solutions approach each other with respect to a Riemannian metric.
